The Rodina is an Amsterdam based design studio working across visual communication, immersive onsite environments, and online platforms. Operating between culture and technology, the studio approaches design as a space of inquiry. The practice is shaped by strategies of performance, play, and research.

Working with cultural institutions and ambitious organizations, we specialize in evocative visual identities, experience-based user journeys, emotional cartographies, porous editorial formats, and participatory installations.

Complex content demands more than clarity. We work through playfulness, visual research, and design as a form of thinking with the material.

Design Pedagogy

The Rodina exhibits, leads design workshops, and gives lectures internationally. Tereza Ruller is a Professor of Communication Design & Digital Practices at the University of Arts and Design Karlsruhe. Together with Vit Ruller, they teach Critical Narratives and 3D Environments at MA Information Design at Design Academy Eindhoven.
