How do we construct our identity in a post-representational digital reality? Parade is a fantasy, rainy world where hearts, along with hundreds of other emojis, orgasmically drift across the screen. Yllis' music video explores the theme of platform narcissism. It questions the ecstasy of parading the self—whether by duplicating one’s image or striving toward an idealized version—as a way of seeking value, distinction, or even immortality.
